PSN Down again. *Updated*

If you’re trying to sign in you won’t be able to as the PSN is down again. It’s down for maintenance. If you try to sign in here: http://uk.playstation.com/registration/ you’ll see the message from Sony Playstation.

UPDATE: PSN is back online, iTrophies functioning as normal.

New Beta testers needed

I’ve just about finished adding some new functionality that I definitely need a few people to test. So I would like to supplement my current testers with new testers.

If you’re interested and, as long as you’re willing to be prompt with your feedback AND use either Facebook/Twitter please drop me an email or message me on twitter.

It’d be helpful if you already have the current version of PS3 iTrophies so you can compare old and new, will help to avoid taking a step back!

So what’s in the new release? I think there’s a big clue in what I’ve said above so I’ll leave it there, for now

PSN Down, iTrophies won’t sign in. *Updated*

UPDATE: The PSN is back to normal, you shouldn’t have any problems signing in with PS3 iTrophies.

The PSN site is down again, no reason and no announcement from Sony as far as I know so hopefully it’ll only be for a short time.

Issue: Can’t sign in to iTrophies
Cause: PSN website is down, you can’t sign in through a browser either
Resolution: Dependent on Sony.

Version 2.3.1 Update Now Live

Update Version 2.3.1 has gone live!

This isn’t a major release so no new features, it’s to address a couple of small bugs.

Please let me know if the Gamer Id bug has been fixed. You should see your Gamer Id at the top of the Profile page and on the Leaderboard etc.

I’ve received some initial mixed feedback, telling me that the update is fine / the update has broken the app!

So, if you have had a problem please provide answers to these questions to help me see if there’s a common reason:

- iPhone or iPod Touch?
- Model? (3G, 3Gs etc)
- OS Version on device?
- Jailbroken?
- Does the Help Screen name check say your Gamer Id has a Portable Id?
- Current Version of iTrophies, (found at the top of the Help Screen)?

Playstation Network Down for Maintenance *Updated*

UPDATE The Playstation Network Servers are back online, you should be able to log into PS3 iTrophies as usual now.

The Playstation Network is down for maintnenace currently, thus PS3 iTrophies will not sign in.

This is not a fault of PS3 iTrophies, it should be fine after the Playstation Network servers come back online.

If you’re running v 2.3 you should see a message alert when signing in that tells you the PSN Servers are probably undergoing maintenance.

MAG Beta Code Giveaway *Closed*

If you use my app, you’ve bought my app. So to have a chance of winning all you need to do is submit a review for PS3 iTrophies on the iTunes App Store. The one that makes me smile/laugh the most wins the code.

• Code is for EU region, I don’t know if it works for people outside the EU.

The winner has been sent the code but wanted to remain anonymous, not sure why, but they didn’t want their PSN ID published, so I must respect their right.

What’s new ** Updated **

A bug seems to have crept in where your gamer id may not be displayed, I am investigating and will submit a patch to Apple as soon as I can.

Update: I’ve submitted a fix for the name not appearing. (Based on the current volume of app submissions, 87% of applications are being approved within 14 days)

Work on Version 2.4 has slowed down as I’ve got a great deal going on in my life at the moment so finding the time has been difficult.
