The New App Icon Revealed

So here it is, the new app icon. I’ve created it so that it’s more inline with Apples own icons, so hopefully it makes iTrophies look like it belongs on your device. Let me know what you think, I think it’s an improvement …

…although there’s nothing distinctly PS3 about it…

New icon time. Here’s a bunch of them, some where made a while ago by an iTrophies user named Alex C, and the rest I made myself.

PS3 iTrophies v2.4 Approved

PS3 iTrophies version 2.4 has been successfully approved! It should appear in the iTunes App Store within a few hours, along with the updated description and images. And is now live for you to update/buy.

Aggressive Spam filter

I just happened to check the spam folder for the comments on this blog and it had some genuine comments, apologies if people have commented and not seen their comments/question appear in the past, spam folder gets cleared automatically you see. I’ll keep an eye on it in the future.

Version 2.4 is almost ready, just need to tweak the leader board display a bit and I’ll send it to Apple.
Beta test for 2.4 was positive, new features work well enough which is good news!

Version 2.4 Preview

Preview of new features in upcoming v2.4.

Things to note:

• Sign in status text
• Users avatar is displayed on Profile page
• Recent Trophies view (replaces previous Fav format, Fave game and Mood)
• Filter option for Friends Games Comparison table
• Help Section content change

Version 2.4 has also changed internally, there’s no more requirement to have an EU Portable ID – something for new users/users who didn’t follow instructions previously and couldn’t use iTrophies.

Busy time of the year!

Unfortunately my development schedule is way behind Work and life in general hasn’t left me with much spare time lately. And with Christmas coming up that’s not going to help my efforts either!

But there are a few new things that I think every one will think are cool and are worth waiting for.

So, this post is just a heads up to say that I’m still here working on my app when I can

PSN Down again. *Updated*

If you’re trying to sign in you won’t be able to as the PSN is down again. It’s down for maintenance. If you try to sign in here: http://uk.playstation.com/registration/ you’ll see the message from Sony Playstation.

UPDATE: PSN is back online, iTrophies functioning as normal.

New Beta testers needed *CLOSED*

* CLOSED * Thanks to every one that has submitted their interest, once again there are a great number of you so will have to pick people randomly in due course.

I’ve just about finished adding some new functionality that I definitely need a few people to test. So I would like to supplement my current testers with new testers.

If you’re interested and, as long as you’re willing to be prompt with your feedback AND use either Facebook/Twitter please drop me an email or message me on twitter.

It’d be helpful if you already have the current version of PS3 iTrophies so you can compare old and new, will help to avoid taking a step back!

So what’s in the new release? I think there’s a big clue in what I’ve said above so I’ll leave it there, for now

PSN Down, iTrophies won’t sign in. *Updated*

UPDATE: The PSN is back to normal, you shouldn’t have any problems signing in with PS3 iTrophies.

The PSN site is down again, no reason and no announcement from Sony as far as I know so hopefully it’ll only be for a short time.

Resolution: Dependent on Sony.
