v.2.5.3 – Another Update to fix Friends List *Updated*
August 28, 2010 at 7:28 pm 25 comments
Friends List has broken again, great
I’ve just submitted a fix to Apple this evening. The previous update took 2 weeks before it was approved so I hope it doesn’t take that long again!!
*Update* Submitted fix status has moved to “In Review”.
*Update* Fix status is now “Ready for Sale”, should be on the App Store within the next few hours.

That sucks – come on Sony, communicate with your external developers. I hope that Apple can this published ASAP!
Any news on further enhancements?

Sadly there’s no nice and easy Sony SDK/API for something like this so in their defence they have no real reason to support dome one like me lol

You should implement an OTA system so you could make changes on the fly…if possible….

I’ve thought about this but it would mean having to send your sign in details to my server. I don’t think ANYONE would be happy sending their email address and password to a non-Sony server, right?

Thanks for the update mate. It’s strange how it’s just the friends list. I wish Sony would leave things alone lol lol. Thanks again for the update, let’s hope Apple get a move on.

Well done with an update it’s a shame the friends list stopped working but it did work for a significant while after the last update let’s hope they approve it quick

So there will be no fix for the app crashing at launch?? This app has not worked once since installing the last update

Ask for it to be extradited? Speed it up a bit, I know Twittelator got one out within 24 hours, this is similar app problem

Oh and do you know whether you might be able to do messaging from an app soon?

Just out of interest, how come the free PSN friend app always works but yours seems to fail?
Thanks.

Different servers, that app gets an XML feed from the EU servers I think. My app uses a different server.

Keep up the good work. I used that ” other” app first and found I like yours better so I will wait for Apple to push your update through. Thanks again.

Just a thought, now That jailbreak is legal in the us . Wouldn’t be interesting for updates/users to post your app elsewhere ex : cydia ? By the way very Nice application

Have you removed the settings to sort friends list by last sign-in etc? I can’t seem to find them. Good to see a quick bug fix, cheers

That was the question I was about to ask as well. I thought it was an option and I was going mad

The removal of the sort friends option is a big step backwards in my opinion. Was this an oversight?

Ugh. Lack of friend sort options is a big step back in my opinion.
